Hey friends!
So, you want to bring Jenny into your multi-player Minecraft adventures? Great call! As the proud owner of Jennymod.pro, I’ve set up Jenny on hundreds of servers (yes, I’ve lost sleep testing them all, and today, I’ll show you how to do it in under 10 minutes. No stress just you, your crew, and Jenny making memories. Let’s go!

Why Multiplayer + Jenny = Magic
Jenny isn’t just a solo adventurer she’s a team player! Imagine your squad exploring the Nether with Jenny cracking jokes (yes, she does that!) or defending your base together during a raid. I built this mod to bring people closer, and seeing servers light up with Jenny’s antics? That’s why I do this.
What You’ll Need
- A Minecraft server (self-hosted or a hosting service like Aternos/Apex).
- Forge/Fabric installed on the server (same version as your Jennymod file!).
- Jennymod.jar (download the server-friendly version here).
Step-by-Step Server Setup
1. Install Jennymod on the Server
- Download the server version of Jennymod from jennymod.pro/server-download.
- Upload the .jar file to your server’s mods folder (use FTP or your hosting panel’s file manager).
2. Install Forge/Fabric on the Server
- Most hosting services let you pick Forge/Fabric during setup. If you’re self-hosting, follow my simple guide here.
3. Restart the Server
- Give it a minute—Jenny needs coffee, too. ☕
4. Players: Install Jennymod Locally
- Players must install Jennymod on their game (use the client guide here).
- Pro Tip: Share this link with your friends to save time: jennymod.pro/install.
5. Summon Jenny In-Game!
- Join the server and type /summon Jenny (or let players summon their own Jenny with permissions—see below).
Permissions & Commands
- Server Admins: Use plugins like LuckPerms to control who can summon Jenny.
- Default Command: /jenny help lists all commands (e.g., /jenny follow, /jenny dance).
- Customize Jenny’s Role: Make her a shopkeeper, bodyguard, or chaotic bestie. Learn how here.
Troubleshooting (We’ve Got Your Back)
- “Jenny isn’t spawning!”
- Ensure ALL players have the same Jennymod version installed.
- Server crashes on startup?
- Check that your server’s Forge/Fabric version matches the mod. Still stuck? Hit me up here.
- Lag issues?
- Limit how many Jennys can spawn simultaneously.
Why I Made Server Setup So Simple
When I first tried modding a server years ago, I cried (not kidding). Now, I test every Jennymod update on 5+ server types to ensure you don’t have to. My motto: “If my grandma can’t do it, I failed.” (Spoiler: She runs a Jenny-themed tea shop server now.
Pro Tips from the Jenny-Whisperer
- Back up your server before installing new mods (please, for the love of diamonds).
- Use voice chat mods (like Simple Voice Chat) to talk to Jenny and your friends!
